Jane Hamilton Pilates provides expert online Pilates classes for small groups of adults of all abilities. Jane's Pilates classes will help you find your balance and strength.
Just like the studio classes, the online Pilates classes help you maintain a healthy back, keeping muscles and joints flexible and strong. If you are suffering from pain; recovering from an injury or a health condition, posture-related issues from desk work, simple inactivity, or overactivity leading to repetitive strains or sprains, practicing Pilates regularly will provide effective solutions to live a pain-free and healthy life.

In Joseph Pilates' own words, the Pilates Method “develops the body uniformly, corrects wrong postures, restores physical vitality, invigorates the mind and elevates the spirit”.There is good scientific evidence that Pilates is effective in the treatment of lower back pain.
It is commonly used for rehabilitation, maintenance, and injury prevention.
Pilates classes focus on lengthening and strengthening muscles, improving alignment and core stability.
Practicing Pilates facilitates better health (particularly back health) and good body awareness through the development of the mind and body connection using breathing techniques.Learn all about the benefits of Pilates on our website.
We hope to see you soon in one of our online Pilates classes.

It is easy to watch a fitness video on YouTube and try to follow it or even to do a Joe Wicks session with your children, but are you working hard enough and are you doing the moves correctly?
There is absolutely nothing wrong with keeping fit in this way, but at fitandhappy in Edinburgh we offer more.
No matter whether you join a group fitness class such as a boot camp or attend 1:1 online personal training classes we always give individual feedback and support.
Obviously, you will get more individual attention with a 1:1 personal training session but even during a group class, we ensure that no-one is doing the exercises incorrectly as this could cause injury.Normally, we offer a range of outdoor fitness classes and will return to them as soon as COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, but in the meantime, we have moved all our classes online. We do intend to keep offering online personal training sessions after lockdown has been lifted as it has proved to be a popular way to train for all sorts of reasons.
Some people just like the convenience of it, others find it difficult to leave their home and some haven't exercised for a while so are enjoying starting their fitness journey in the comfort of their own private surroundings.
We are a friendly bunch at fitandhappy, so if you aren't sure about joining up, please give me, Julia, a call or send me an email.
