Therefore, Salesforce filled the gap by introducing Revenue Cloud, which allows companies to connect sales, operations, legal, and finance teams around a single source for revenue and customer transactions, from purchase to revenue conciliation.   

When the pandemic hit, several businesses revenue cycles were disrupted as deals stalled with customers’ sudden change in preferences. Sales channels were halted, and the forecasting data became unreliable because of the ambiguity in the market; enterprises were clueless, what to expect from their buyers. On the other hand, numerous companies witnessed a sudden upsurge in demand for their product that it became challenging for them to meet the production standards that arose overnight. And while many industries were juggling between these two extreme situations, the need to manage revenue remained the same, if not more. And top it all, higher expectations from B2B buyers for faster payment options discomfort entrepreneurs even more. 

Additionally, a survey by Salesforce in its recent report revealed that 80 percent of business buyers emphasize the experience a company provides, and 74 percent.
