Does your cat have a cat tower? If so, that's wonderful! These all-purpose pieces of pet furniture offer cats not only scratching posts, they also offer kitties napping spots and good vantage points. Of course, sometimes cats stop using their towers.
One reason this may happen is that kitties just sort of forget about their towers, and start to see them as part of the background. Moving, or sometimes even just turning, a cat tower can help a lot with this. Your pet may also not like the texture or smell of her tower, especially if it has gotten old. Try vacuuming it. Or, even better, use a steam cleaner. If the covering is really far gone, you may even want to try recovering it. Pick up some cheap carpet scraps and a staple gun, and you can be done before your pet wakes up from her nap.
Be sure to bring your kitty to your vet clinic Bend, OR regularly for wellness care.
