Hope can go a long way, and it is essential for people with cancer, especially considering their torrid cancer journey. So, to ensure that cancer patients are muscular and mentally, various organizations such as AMASS Association Friends of Cancer Patients are working tirelessly to ensure each cancer patient is attended to with complete care and caution.
A non-profit charity organization founded in Saudi Arabia, AMASS Association Friends of Cancer Patients, works to educate and raise public awareness about the disease and the value of early detection while supporting cancer patients and their families emotionally and psychologically. In addition to experts and medical professionals in all relevant fields, it comprises volunteers who are friends with cancer patients and a team of cancer patients who have recovered from their illnesses.
Their mission is to ease the suffering of cancer patients and their families by offering emotional and psychological support to help them go through their grief, realize their goals, build on their strengths, and find a way to live organically. This assistance will be given thanks to the initiatives of capable and outstanding associates who visit patients and their families in hospitals and at their homes, run community service projects, and participate in conferences and events to raise awareness and educate cancer patients, ages and genders.
So, to ensure that patients can ease up anxiety, we have come up with a few actions that can be done to reduce stress.
Praying
Many of our patients and carers described prayer as a source of solace. Praying enables them to do what they can and then let go of those anxious feelings because they feel like they have lost control.
Trust and believe in the people on your care team
Know that our doctors and the rest of your care team will handle everything. That's what they do.
Listen to Music
Music can help you escape the reality of cancer or find the strength and determination to confront them head-on, whether in the waiting room, in your car, at home, or at work.
Keep active by engaging in something you like
Having some fun will help you forget about your next appointment, whether it is while shopping, hanging out with friends, or dining out. You can also find humor to help you go through the process.
Exercise
Exercise not only keeps you healthy and strong, but it also releases mood-enhancing endorphins that could help you forget about your concerns. Before beginning any new workouts, be sure to see your doctor and make sure you select the activity that is appropriate for you.
Meditation
Meditating and engaging in mindfulness practices can maintain your composure during trying moments. Meditation allows you to unwind, control your stress, and better understand your body, emotions, and environment. It won't just get you through this next checkup; it will also help you sleep better, remember things better, and think more clearly.
