The amount of time it takes for an average page to rank in Google depends on a number of variables. In other words, there’s no one-size-fits-all answer to this question. Thankfully, a study from Ahrefs may be able to clear up at least some of the confusion regarding Google rankings.
The Ahrefs team first looked at how old the top-ranking pages were. Once they took 2 million random keywords and pulled data on the Top 10 ranking pages for each of them, it became clear that only 22% of pages that currently rank in Top 10 were created within 1 year.
