Making Education More Relevant and Future-Oriented

The Real Issue Facing School Leaders

Students are unable to connect the current curriculum to their plans. Students are unconcerned about the value of education (upbringing by rich and in many instances uneducated parents). This situation has resulted in a lack of discipline and academic interest, as well as poor grades.

Solutions to Real-World Issues Facing School Administrators

Including students, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders in curriculum development.

Making them aware of their responsibilities and roles.

It is necessary to guarantee that learning is enjoyable.

The use of inquiry-based learning should be encouraged.

Every child should have a significant role to play in the TL process.

Children should be encouraged to learn on their own.

Teachers and students have intrinsic motivation.

Every concept's purpose, as well as its applicability, must be taught.

First and foremost, we must improve our teaching methods and foster collaboration among stakeholders.

Instilling values in pupils' lives.

Students' spiritual and social quotients must be developed.

The participation of students in school activities must be actively promoted.

Members of the student council should be given daily responsibilities.

The management of the school should be centered on the students. They should be the center of attention for all activities at the school.

Parents should be invited to participate in as many school activities as possible. Parental counseling sessions should be scheduled.

In our school, we have an AMC (Active Mother's Club) concept. This is a one-of-a-kind program that has had a significant impact on our students' and parents' attitudes toward schooling and education as a whole.

To bring a child and mother closer together, educational activities should be undertaken regularly.

Second, we must concentrate on the curriculum's practical features. In this scenario, relying solely on textbook teaching makes it impossible to foster the practicality of the curriculum while emphasizing future elements. While analyzing the curricular framework through education boards' textbooks, teachers must understand the standards for what minimum concepts should be taught to students. They should also keep in mind that they can always explore outside the textbooks for further information. They can change or adapt the curriculum to meet future problems and requirements.

Introduce new practical disciplines such as financial literacy, traffic regulations, and management awareness, information technology, animation or filmmaking, or skill-based programs such as vocational workshops, astronomy, and so on.

Bimonthly career counseling sessions
Social initiatives based on current events

Frequently held group discussions, debates, elocution contests, and quizzes on a variety of future-related issues.

Preparing students for research grants such as Dr. Homi Bhabha Jr. Scientist, Skimmer, and Jet Toy Competitions, among others. Encourage them to pursue awards and compete in competitive tests.

Encourage kids to take part in roadshows or street plays about current societal issues.

I believe that goal is unattainable in its current form for the following reasons:

At this rate, no one knows what "that future" will be like. With each passing decade, the situation is certain to worse.

A fundamental skill has limitless applications. Consider the example of addition.

How are we going to connect with all of them?

We might educate children on how to learn rather than worrying about mapping to future opportunities. Whether we use PBL or Mantle of Expert, I feel the most important thing is for the youngster to learn how to learn.
