What Is Christ Community Church About?
Basically, Christ Community Church is a group of friends committed to living for God. None of us are perfect, but we have all made mistakes, and we do try to follow Jesus and live by His teachings. There are three key cornerstones on which the community is based: Christ, community, and the Great Commission. It is through these core values that our activities, relationships, and service flow into the world around us.
Who leads the church?
Nate Rice is our senior pastor, and he has been serving since 2018. Pastor Nathan brings with him one of the most diverse and inspiring backgrounds. He brings a very balanced approach into leadership and ministry, having recently obtained his Master's in Christian Leadership from Dallas Theological Seminary on top of his strong business foundation through his MBA. His family, which includes his wife Camilla and their five sons, is a united testimony to God's trust amidst trials.
Along with Pastor Nathan, the church is aided by the different staffing that includes Worship Pastor Ross Lehman and Administrative Assistant Ana Rebeca DeLima Oliveir. Each of them contributes to a warm and friendly atmosphere for anyone who enters through the door.
What Can You Expect from Worship?
Worship is central to our gatherings. Each Sunday we extol Christ through passionate prayer and heart-engaged singing. Yet, worship isn't limited to Sunday gatherings—it is a way of life. We believe Jesus has called us to a way of living that honors Him not just in our churches but in our workplaces, families, and relationships.
How Do We Build Community?
The world we live in can be one in which people isolate themselves from others and from each other. In light of that, we make it a priority in our congregation to have real relationships with one another. One of the most major ways we do this is through our Life Groups-ministering through Bible study, prayer, and fellowship all within the context of small groups. This enables us to grow deeper in our faith and share everyday life together in support of one another.
How Are We Involved in the Great Commission?
Churches in Ocala, including our own, take the Great Commission very seriously. We're committed to spreading the gospel-both locally and around the world.
